Britney attributes her love of food to the place where she grew up: a seaside fishing port & farming community stuck back in time (in a good way). When she was little, she ate sushi made with her dad's fresh catch. She was fascinated by the way fish roe - tiny grapes - popped in the mouth. While in college, she earned a living cooking in restaurants, commercial fishing, & edible-flower farming. Her perfect meal: freshly speared fish, herbs & veggies plucked from the garden, shared by great friends. She describes herself a little bit Julia Child, a little bit Mermaid!
